Welcome to Smallwood Primary School

Welcome to Smallwood Primary School and Language Unit.  Smallwood Primary School is a happy, vibrant and friendly inner-city school. So before you begin why not take a couple of minutes to look at our virtual tour of 'A Day In The Life at Smallwood Primary School'. We hope this will help provide a true insight into our school motto ‘Learning Together, Learners for Life’ which we hope will stay with our children long after they leave Smallwood.

2W will be presenting their class assembly on Friday 26th May 2017 at 10.00am. Families and friends are welcome to join us for the assembly and refreshments afterwards.
It's your turn Year 5, so you need to get busy baking for year 5 Cake Sale on Friday 26th May 2017 at 3:30pm. Please remember to bring some change to support the cake sale.
Please follow us on Twitter to keep up with all the great things that are happening in our school. Follow us @Smallwoodschool.
We would like to invite all year 6 parents to the School Journey meeting on Wednesday 7th June 2017.

On Friday 26th May 2017 Years 1 - 6 will be taking part in various sporting activities in the afternoon. This is not our annual sports day thus parents unfortunately are not invited. Please ensure your child brings their full PE kit in on the day. Children must come to school wearing school uniform and then will change in to their PE kits after lunch. Please ensure your child brings a hat and a water bottle in as we are hoping the weather will stay nice.

Our current parent volunteers are making a real contribution to the progress of our children and we value the time they give us. There are still a number of classes who would appreciate some extra help with reading and it would be great if we could sign up some more volunteers. If you think this is something you would be interested in, and you are able to commit to an hour or more on a regular basis, please contact the school office.

After School Club:

After School Club Booklet - Summer 2017

At Smallwood we are pleased to offer a range of After School Clubs and Activities throughout the school year. Each club is aimed at particular year groups. All places in a club are based on a first come basis; however priority is given to children who are not already enrolled in a club. The majority of the clubs are free; however there may be a charge for some clubs to cover tutor costs. Clubs will run for 9 weeks this term.
