Welcome to Smallwood Primary School

Welcome to Smallwood Primary School and Language Unit.  Smallwood Primary School is a happy, vibrant and friendly inner-city school. So before you begin why not take a couple of minutes to look at our virtual tour of 'A Day In The Life at Smallwood Primary School'. We hope this will help provide a true insight into our school motto ‘Learning Together, Learners for Life’ which we hope will stay with our children long after they leave Smallwood.

UPCOMING EVENTS & INFORMATION:

5/6J will be presenting their class assembly on Friday 31st March 2017 at 10.00am. Families and friends are welcome to join us for the assembly and refreshments afterwards.
Red Nose Day was a great success thank you to everyone for your contributions and participation! Smallwood helped to raise money to help people living really tough lives in the UK and across Africa.
On Friday 31st March we are holding our ever popular Easter raffle. The prizes are kindly donated by members of staff here at Smallwood and tickets will be on every day in the playground until Thursday 30th March.
Please follow us on Twitter to keep up with all the great things that are happening in our school. Follow us @Smallwoodschool.
TheSpeak Out. Stay Safe’ programme took place on Friday 10th March 2017 and went very well. It is important the children have the knowledge and understanding they need to stay safe. For further information please visit:  www.nspcc.org.uk/preventing-abuse/keeping-children-safe/
Our current parent volunteers are making a real contribution to the progress of our children and we value the time they give us. There are still a number of classes who would appreciate some extra help with reading and it would be great if we could sign up some more volunteers. If you think this is something you would be interested in, and you are able to commit to an hour or more on a regular basis, please contact the school office.

After School Club Booklet - Spring 2017

At Smallwood we are pleased to offer a range of After School Clubs and Activities throughout the school year. Each club is aimed at particular year groups. All places in a club are based on a first come basis; however priority is given to children who are not already enrolled in a club. The majority of the clubs are free; however there may be a charge for some clubs to cover tutor costs. Clubs will run for 9 weeks this term.
