Friends Of Smallwood

The Friends of Smallwood are an enthusiastic group of parents, staff and governors that support the role of the school. Their main purpose is to help raise money towards extra-curricular activities and development of the school by organising various social events such as the Christmas Fair, cake sales and the Summer Fair.

Last year with the support of the School Council their project was to raise £10,000 towards the playground redevelopment which we achieved. As you can see from the images below a before and after picture of the playground.

This year's project is to redevelop the performance area in the lower hall. This will include new lighting, stage, sound equipment, and curtains.

A big thank you for your support for the ‘Friends of Smallwood’ Halloween Disco we raised approximately £400. Thank you for supporting the recent Early Years cake sale we raised £196.

Pumpkin Carving Competition:

Thank you to everyone who entered into the Pumpkin Carving Competition at the Halloween Disco.  We were blown away by the number of entries and the creativity.  The judges had a very difficult decision but 4 winners have been chosen and will be receiving their prize today.  Well done to everyone who took part!

There are two School Tea Towels, an Early Years and Key Stage One tea towel and a separate Key Stage Two tea towel. Each tea towel costs £3.00 and can be pre ordered and paid for at the school office. You will also be able to purchase them at the Christmas Fair along with Bags for Life (with the school logo on) and Pre owned school uniform.
