Throughout the year, the children from KS1 will be encouraged to develop fundamental movement skills, becoming increasingly confident and competent.

The children will learn to master basic movements such as running, jumping, galloping, and skipping. Using skills, techniques to access a broad range of opportunities to extend their agility, balance and coordination, children develop more control in their balance, agility and coordination. They also perform dances using simple movement patterns and exercises.

Throughout the year the children from KS2 will continue to apply and develop a broader range of skills becoming increasingly confident and competent. The children will use running, jumping, turning, spinning in isolation and in combination through free and set movement sequences and combinations.
